In this vital role, you will work closely with the Director/Manager Cost Accounting with the EPSI Costing System to produce service line costing data to Leadership. You will also Assist the Director Finance Budget & DSS Operations in maintaining the data integrity in the EPSI system. Work with the VP Budget / DSS in preparation of budgets and in the budgeting process; review and analyze cost-revenue data and supports departmental variance analysis; monitors costing and journal entries for accounting; make fiscal presentations.
- Undertake projects on financial matters (methods of improving operations, analyses of industry standards); identify budget/finance issues using costing data, researches the subject and proposes solutions to problem; trend analyses.
- Assist in monitoring, reconciling payroll, G/L and benchmarking statistics/ data feeds into the ESPI system.
- Assist in acting as a liaison with MIS, Finance (Accounting), HR & Payroll, to ensure that the data feeds are being produced into the EPSI system timely and accurately.
- Assist departments in preparing budgets, analyzing budget variances and developing means of improving budget performance.
- Act as liaison between departments and Financial Management on matters relating to budget, costing and financial analysis, etc.
- Develop and implement in-service programs for departments on costing analysis, basic business techniques and fiscal programs for staff
We require:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or a related field required; Master’s degree in business, finance or healthcare administration preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of financial analysis or cost accounting experience required, preferably in a health-care setting.
- Computer literacy with demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel; experience with PeopleSoft G/L or HR applications preferred.
- Good English verbal/written communication skills, including platform/presentation skills.
